About me.

When I first started going to yoga classes in 2010 to bond with my boyfriends mum I never dreamt that it would lead me to where I am today.

I had never been interested in yoga, dismissing it as 'not for me' becuase I'm not naturally flexible and was worried that it would be very spiritual. Yoga was exactly what I needed though. Years of running, going to the gym and rock climbing had left my body pretty tight. Developing a regular yoga practice also gave me an opportunity to forget about the stresses of daily life and just focus on 'me', even just for one hour.

Now I still mainly enjoy going to and teaching a fast paced Vinyasa style class (see the 'Class' tab for a full description) but I also now love a 'Yin' class every now and again to really rebalance the body and fully relax. Yin yoga is a very deep, much slower paced practice where you typically hold each pose for 3-5 minutes to get an amazing release of the muscles and quiet the mind by focusing on breathing through the stretches for a meditative effect. I will hopefully be teaching a regular Yin class soon and will put it up on the Class page. If you would like to try it let me know and I would love to show you.

I soon became incredibly passionate about yoga and all of it's wonderful benefits, so In April 2015 after much deliberation over many years I made a trip of a lifetime to Costa Rica to undertake my Yoga teacher training. I could go on about what an incredible experince this was all day but I won't say too much! If you are considering undertaking a teacher training yourself I cannot reccomend Marianne Wells Yoga School enough. I am fully qualified as a 200 hour registered yoga teacher and am registed and insured with Yoga Alliance UK.

I look forward to sharing my passion with you and hope to not only improve your practice but motivate and challenge you, whilst hopefully making your day a little brighter.
